Vision, Mission and Strategy
Our Vision
Raleigh International's vision is to create a global community of inspired and inspiring young people committed to working together regardless of age, social background, culture and nationality, building strong communities and making a difference to their world.
Our Mission
To inspire people to make a positive difference throughout their lives by exposing them to adventurous expeditions and challenging programmes of practical, diverse team-based community and environmental service in partnership with non-governmental organisations, governments, conservationists and marginalised communities around the world.
Our Values
Courage:
Raleigh International believes that experiencing adventurous and challenging situations that test our courage, innovation and resilience develops our character and leadership skills
Drive:
Raleigh people are driven by the desire to get out there and get the job done. Our attitude is ‘can do’ and we believe in not giving up when the going gets tough, but trying something different or redoubling our efforts
Discovery:
Raleigh people are open to discovering more about themselves and others as part of their personal development journey.
We believe that exploring and experiencing the wonder of the natural world and living with and working alongside different cultures and communities, inspires us to care about other people and the environment, and to want to look after the world.
Integrity:
Raleigh International’s work is in partnership with local people and is meaningful and needed. Raleigh people should be responsible for their own actions, respectful of different backgrounds, cultures and environments and develop a global outlook
Our Charitable Objectives
1. advancement of education and global citizenship
2. relief of those in need by reason of disadvantage
3. advancement of environmental protection and sustainable community development
These objectives are achieved through expeditions carried out in the UK and other countries, for the purpose of providing experiential learning and personal development through adventure, challenge, and through community, environmental, and development projects.
