Raleigh is made up of a dedicated and passionate team of people, based in the UK and in each expedition country.

In-country staff

Having a full time team in-country is absolutely essential. It enables us to build long-term, sustainable partnerships and ensure that our projects not only respond to locally defined needs but that they are delivered safely and to a high standard. CEO and Administration

With support from our Board of Trustees, our chief executive helps guide and shape the direction of our organisation with a team of buzzy and dynamic people who are committed to the ethos of Raleigh.

Business Development

The Business Development team focuses on relationship building with corporate and youth development organisations and helps them decide how a Raleigh expedition or bespoke programme can benefit their employees or members.

Finance

The finance team is central to the excellent administration and effective running of our charity.

Fundraising and Communications

The fundraising team generates support for our charity so that we can give people from all backgrounds and nationalities the opportunity to experience a Raleigh expedition. We also deal with media enquiries and can help with case study interviews and image requests. Marketing and Recruitment

The marketing and recruitment team is responsible for building relationships with young people, schools, universities, parents, youth organisations and professional organisations to help those thinking of taking or recommending a gap year to decide whether a Raleigh experience is right for them. We're the ones behind the website and other marketing materials, are at the end of the phone if you've got any questions about joining Raleigh and would love to hear your stories about Raleigh or any ideas that you may have.

Operational Support

Once you've applied to come on expedition, the Support team will always be on hand to answer your questions, from how to go about fundraising to what you should pack for an expedition. They ensure that each expedition runs smoothly and that each and every venturer and volunteer manager is fully supported.
