Fundraising and Development

I joined Raleigh International in May 2007 and was very keen to be involved with a youth and education charity working to give everyone, especially disengaged young people, the opportunity to take control of their lives. My own career break combined volunteering and independent travel and I know how a Raleigh expedition can make a positive difference to the lives of young people from all backgrounds on expedition and to the indigenous communities they work with in developing economies.

Going forward, I am excited about increasing our work with commercial organisations so that we can develop a bursary scheme allowing Raleigh International to widen participation further, develop our projects overseas and contribute to that all important core funding.
