Alumni Newsletter
Welcome to the Autumn Raleigh alumni newsletter 2008. Whether you've just returned from your first expedition, or are preparing for your next you'll always be part of our global community.
This month Raleigh head office in London has been visited by Pei Ting one of the committee members of Raleigh Kuala Lumpur and in the next newsletter we will report on their activities and the discussions of the Raleigh Asia conference in Malaysia in November. We have a newly formed member, Raleigh China which is based in Shanghai and we are currently looking for funding to send someone to help them get established with their 300 volunteers so if you can help in way please contact Stacey Adams at Raleigh HQ by emailing stacey.adams@raleigh.org.uk
In this edition you can find out more about alumni volunteering opportunities, read about the launch of our new Youth Forum and catch up with one of our alumni - Dominic O’Neill who now runs the UK Department for International Development in Sierra Leone - in our new ‘Where are you now?’ feature.
We always love to hear how you're getting on, so remember to get in touch if you have any ideas or want to share your news with the Raleigh community by writing a feature in the next edition. Please contact Debra Hay, our Alumni Manger on +44 (0) 20 7183 1280 or debra.hay@raleigh.org.uk for further details.
Our new addition to the Alumni team is Rosie Palliser, Alumni and Events Assistant. She will be working on the ‘fourth challenge’; encouraging Raleigh alumni to make a difference in their own communities back home. You can contact Rosie on +44 (0) 20 7183 1290 or rosie.palliser@raleigh.org.uk for further details.
In the meantime make sure you’re kept up to date with all the news at Raleigh and preparations for our 25th anniversary in 2009 by completing our alumni registration form at http://www.raleighinternational.org/raleigh-alumni/
