Explore India
Getting out there to IndiaSince our first expedition in 1984, we've been operating in many challenging locations across the globe and are really excited about our new expedition base in India. We've established a base in Mysore, Karnataka in the Western Ghats region, one of the world's most bio diverse hotspots.
We get volunteers out there exchanging cultures in India's colourful, cultural and ethnically diverse communities, conserving its natural environments and undertaking challenging, life-changing adventures.
Like with all our expeditions, our volunteers have been making a much needed difference there. Take a look how.
Helping communities
We've been helping to improve the quality of life for rural communities, where almost 80 percent of India's poor live. Working with project partners our volunteers have been improving access to safe drinking water for the rural Hosakeresunda village, building an eco-sanitation facility for each house.
Environmentally friendly
We've been working alongside the Ministry of Environment and Forests to develop projects that will help their careful environmental planning. Volunteers are protecting some of the most beautiful and rarely seen habitats and wildlife in the world, including elephant and tiger reserves.
Lifelong adventures
Our volunteers complete an intense 16 day adventure challenge in Kerala, trekking through national parks on a route that rises to altitudes of up to 2,500m. Reaching the Periyar Tiger Reserve you'll cycle towards the Arabian Sea and kayak for the last 3 days.
Please be aware that as our projects change, these are only meant as a guideline for what you can expect.
