Raleigh and Cardiff Youth Inclusion Project send three young people to Borneo

PrintE-mail

As part of the Youth Agency Partnership Programme, Raleigh has teamed up with Cardiff Youth Inclusion Project to send 3 young people to Borneo this July.

Raleigh alumnus Phil Carney who went on a Raleigh expedition in the mid 90s now works as a project support worker for Cardiff Youth Inclusion Project. He has been working with these young people to raise awareness and funds for Raleigh by helping them organise a number of events including a school dress down day, a quiz night, sponsored bike ride and a car boot sale.

Duncan Purvis, Raleigh's partnership manager describes this as "a great example of the lengths some of our partners, keyworkers and young people go to raise their money....it wouldn't have been happening without Phil's passion for his own Raleigh experience."
