Raleigh’s young advocate becomes a leader of the future with Changemakers

Raleigh has been taking part in the Changemakers' Future Leaders Programme, which aims to develop a culture of youth leadership within organisations. We have been hosting a young advocate at Head Office for six months, Suraj Vadgama, who went to Borneo in 2007 as a venturer.

Suraj's project involved researching the barriers to participation for young people and focused on improving the support currently offered to participants to raise the funds to go away on expedition. He has now designed an interactive CD for all the expedition information which will soon be used for all our future venturers and volunteer managers, so if you're thinking of joining a Raleigh expedition in the near future, you might be one of the first to receive it!
