Follow the Young Foundations' UpRisers in India
13 participants on the UpRising leadership programme are taking part in a Raleigh expedition in India from June 13th until July 4th and they've written a blog to keep us all updated on their journey!
UpRising is a new leadership programme being developed by the Young Foundation to support and train a new generation of public leaders. UpRising identifies, recruits, develops and supports 19 to 25 year olds to enable them to play a greater role in politics and public decision-making.
The expedition will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with local communities at a grassroots level, contribute to a worthwhile project and get back to basics with the environment. The expedition will complement the development aims of the UpRising programme and expose the UpRisers to international community development, cultural awareness and personal growth through a series of challenges that require teamwork, leadership and problem solving.
