As you hopefully know, the fourth challenge of Raleigh has always been to make a positive impact on the lives of others after expedition.

We have created a number of opportunities with our project partners for you to get involved with, from conservation to music festivals and social research to our youth forum. You can find out more at www.raleighinternational.org/raleigh-alumni/the-fourth-challenge/volunteering-opportunities.

We will be adding more opportunities in the near future so remember to check our website regularly. This programme is all about supporting you to make a difference in your own communities. If there are any particular sectors or organisations that you would like to work with, do let us know and we will ask them to get involved. Remember that a lot of opportunities are for groups as well as individuals. This means that you can organise a volunteering day with friends from your expedition, with your local Raleigh support group or other people in your area who are interested in getting involved.

Tell us about your volunteering

We know that many of you are already out there, volunteering your time and skills in your local community with other inspirational organisations. We think you're doing an amazing job and we would love to hear more about the work that you're doing. Please let us know which organisations you volunteer with, what you do, how long you have been involved and your inspiration. Please also include your expedition country and code.

At the beginning of 2008 Raleigh received a substantial grant from v, an independent charity championing youth volunteering in England. v has asked us to provide information on the number of volunteering hours undertaken by Raleigh alumni on our expeditions and in England. Please help us to continue to receive funding in future years by letting us know about the work you are involved in.
