Applying for the Raleigh Graduate Bursary Award for Volunteering Overseas? Apply online
Apply sooner rather than later
With many of our venturers fitting their Raleigh expedition around wider gap year or mini gap plans, we advise everyone to sign up as early as possible. Why? As well as ensuring you get your first choice of country, the longer you have between signing up and going on expedition, the more time you'll have to:
- Consider additional gap year activities such as backpacking or working before and after your expedition
- Raise the funds, whether it be through fundraising activities, a gap year job, or other means
- Prepare for your volunteering overseas experience by attending our training workshop, arranging your vaccinations, flights and visas. Don't forget, the earlier you apply, the better price you'll get for your flights!
- Find other people going on your expedition through our facebook group or forum, and to get excited!
Left it to the last minute? Don't worry! We may still have places left. Please call us on +44 (0) 20 7183 1283 to discuss your options.
