Schools and membership organisations
Our aim today is the same as it's always been - to inspire young people from all walks of life and nationalities to become confident, global citizens. We believe our expeditions are a unique way of equipping young people with the global awareness, confidence and life skills they need, either for further study or the world of work. And along the way, we strive to provide every young person with a life-changing transformational journey.
Who we work with
Every year we visit many schools, colleges and universities across the country. We also work with membership organisations, such as Girlguiding UK, Scouts and clubs for young people. Our commitment is to establish long-term relationships, advising and guiding you and your pupils, students and members about our expeditions.
How we can help
- We can attend careers/gap year fairs or present at your school, college, university or membership group and where possible bring an ex-Raleigh venturer to share their experiences
- We can send you materials about us and our expeditions for venturers
- We can provide content, images and video footage to promote on your website or in your publications
- We can meet on a one-to-one basis to discuss how our expeditions can benefit your pupils, students or members
- We can create tailor-made expeditions to suit your needs
How you can help
You can become ‘advocates' for Raleigh by encouraging the young people to participate in our programmes and help them with their fundraising activities
What are tailor-made expeditions?
We're not a one size fits all organisation and realise that our main expeditions might not be right for everyone. So we have extended our expertise of running main expeditions for young people by creating tailor-made expeditions.
We listen to and understand your specific objectives and develop itineraries that work for you, whether you're looking to expose your students to different cultures through valuable community projects, or help develop their leadership skills through adventure challenges. We combine this tailored approach with our complex, on-the-ground logistics, rigorous safety procedures, long-term partnerships and commitment to personal development to ensure a superior quality, outcome-led expedition that will have a positive and long-lasting impact on all participants and their organisations.
We have tailored a number of activities and expeditions for schools and membership organisations, often with a focus on cultural awareness and personal development. Clients include Hereford Expedition Group (HEG), Dr Challoner's High School, Cranleigh School and North Fulham New Deal for Communities.
