Give your time

We would love it if you could lend a hand.  Without the help of our alumni, we just wouldn’t be able to recruit and train the hundreds of volunteers who go on expedition every year.

Help us spread the word...

There's nothing quite as inspiring as hearing someone's personal story. So if you have a couple of hours to share your experience with others, please help us spread the word.

In the UK, we need alumni to help us at open events and recruitment fairs. However, you can also get out there in your own networks, wherever you are in the world.

We have a number of tailor made presentations that you can use.

"I have recently given talks on Raleigh and watching the expression and reaction from the groups I am talking to makes me realise that my Raleigh experiences, which I now consider to be normal, are actually extraordinary moments which many people may never get to experience"

Rebecca Hulbert, Costa Rica & Nicaragua 09L and 10B, India 11A

To get involved, please get in touch with our Recruitment Coordinator, Jakhya Rahman on 020 7183 1297 or at j.rahman@raleighinternational.org

Help us at our UK training events...

Whether it's assessing volunteer managers or gearing up our venturers for their expedition, we just couldn't deliver these our training events without you

Assessment weekends

These are an established and vital part of the Volunteer Manager recruitment process. The weekend is a two-day intensive programme packed full of team-building tasks and information sessions.

To volunteer, you need to have been a volunteer manager on expedition and been away with us in the last 2-3 years.

Please email Clare Evans to register your interest at c.evans@raleighinternational.org

Pre-expedition training event (PETE)

PETEs are mandatory one-day events for venturers where they are able to meet other venturers and learn about what life is like on expedition.

They take place all year round at several locations in the UK and we are always looking for a couple of volunteers to help out at each event.

If you went on expedition as a venturer and would like to help out, please email Eddie Church at e.church@raleighinternational.org or Brandon Charleston at b.charleston@raleighintenational.org

Raleigh Outdoor Adventures Residential (ROAR)

This is an outdoor personal development residential for young people selected for a Raleigh Bursary Placement.

There are roles for experienced facilitators, youth workers and team coach in addition to a number of roles for volunteers wishing to help out with logistics and cooking.

Please email Eddie Church to register your interest at e.church@raleighinternational.org.uk
