Reminiscing about swimming with sharks and eating burnt toast, she sums up her experience as "an opportunity of a life time that gave me a unique window on the world and view of myself that I have developed and drawn on ever since". Dominic's journey with Raleigh began in 1993 as a venturer on expedition 93L to Guyana. He then returned to lead another eight expeditions, from Namibia to Mongolia and Chile. Following her expedition to Malaysia in 1997, Rebecca went on to become the Managing Director for Cheetah Conservation Botswana.
