Hamelin and Raleigh International
Raleigh International’s affiliation with Hamelin Paperbrands demonstrates another way in which Raleigh forms partnerships with companies. Hamelin, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of stationery products, recognised the benefits of partnering with Raleigh when considering ways of promoting one of its brands and increasing sales of its range of Oxford Trust A4 and A5 notebooks. As a youth and sustainable development charity Raleigh offered a unique and innovative way to expand awareness of Hamelin’s brand amongst its target audience – students.
Hamelin implemented an on-pack competition for its consumers to win places on Raleigh expeditions. From Raleigh’s perspective this was an excellent opportunity for publicity in leading supermarkets and stationers nationally. From Hamelin’s perspective the partnership made the Oxford Trust notebook stand out on the shelves and added value to the product for the consumer.
By positioning itself alongside Raleigh International, consumers recognise Hamelin, particularly the Oxford Trust Brand, as an ethical business fulfilling its csr objectives. This, coupled with the experience of the young people on expedition will lead them to demonstrate loyalty to the brand in the long term.
