Support Raleigh International

Whether you are a large multinational, a small business or an individual, there are many ways in which you can support Raleigh International. Apart from direct funding, it is possible to help us fundraise through sponsorship, cause- related marketing, events you organise yourself or established events that you simply take part in. You could donate shares or introduce us to valuable contacts;, there are a whole host of ways to support us.

What difference will you make to young people?

Since 1984, over 30,000 young people and volunteer managers have joined a Raleigh International expedition to complete adventure and challenge projects. Living and working in a new environment, with young people from all backgrounds and cultures, each young person develops key life skills to help them in their employment and educational prospects.

We are determined to give all young people the opportunity of a Raleigh experience, especially disadvantaged youths within the UK and those from the host country where we run our expeditions.

Raleigh International depends on donations to provide:

  • Funding to enable us to secure places for young people from socially excluded backgrounds to join our expeditions (20% of the total number of young venturers on each expedition)
  • Funding to enable young people from the host country to join expeditions (over 10% of the total number of young venturers on each expedition)
  • Bursaries to contribute to venturers who would otherwise not be able to go on a Raleigh expedition
  • Project funding in host countries, for example funds to build a school or install an irrigation system

We couldn't provide these life-changing experiences for young people from all backgrounds without the support we receive from companies, charitable trusts, foundations and individuals.

"I've learned how to cope well when things don't go how I'd like them to. I've also become much better at adapting to new situations. My leadership skills have grown. I've learned how to ask for help."
