There are many ways your company can make a valuable difference to the work we do and we are thankful for the support we've had from many companies through staff fundraising, Charity of the Year, sponsorship, pro bono support and shares giving.

Staff fundraising
Getting your workforce involved in raising money for Raleigh International through events and activities is a great way to build team spirit and staff loyalty. You could join the challenge events we've set up or we can help organise events tailored for you with incentives for your team, such as the top fundraiser being able to visit one of our overseas projects.

Charity of the Year
Choosing a Charity of the Year is a big commitment for a company, but a fantastic way to offer your support. By choosing us your employees will have the choice to engage in many events and activities which will have a positive impact on your company, enhancing the company image, motivating staff and providing opportunities for staff involvement in the UK and overseas. Our fundraising team is experienced in managing Charity of the Year partnerships and we have an experienced communications team to support all promotional requirements.

Sponsorship
We offer a number of events and publication sponsorship opportunities for companies. Our key sponsorship opportunities are for our expeditions and specific environmental and community projects. Please contact Teresa Fitzgerald for further details of sponsorship on any of our publications and marketing materials, including our Annual Review, alumni newsletters and materials for our Development Consultancy which delivers leadership and training programmes for corporate and professional organisations.

Pro bono support
Your company can support us by skills and information-sharing as part of your corporate social responsibility policy. Pro bono support is extremely valuable for us. We have benefited from the expertise of many companies, including Capgemini who provided specialist guidance on maximising our internal contacts database system.

Shares giving
Tax incentives makes shares giving one of the best ways to support a charitable organisation. For example if you give shares worth £1,000, Raleigh International would benefit and you would pay £400 or £220 less in income tax that year, depending on whether you're a higher rate or basic rate tax payer. Plus capital gains tax on any increase in the value of shares will not apply. You can donate shares through ShareGift or you can obtain a stock transfer form from the registrar who acts for the company in which you have shares. You should send the completed form with your share certificate to Teresa Fitzgerald.  Remember to keep a copy of the transfer and receipt of the gift from Raleigh International to claim the tax relief.
