Raleigh International is a Youth and Sustainable Development charity which believes that exposing people to global issues is essential in providing them with the knowledge and motivation to make a positive impact on the world, whilst simultaneously providing the opportunity to develop their own skills.

Our core 5 –10 week programmes may not suit everyone so we have developed a range of alternative opportunities which we hope will meet the requirements of a wider audience. Our bespoke overseas programmes currently run in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, India, Tanzania and Borneo.

At the heart of every bespoke expedition there is a worthwhile community or environmental project. This is a vital part of ensuring that we are adding the most value to both the participant's experience and to the areas that we work in.

Schools, Groups and Universities

For Schools, Groups and Universities, Raleigh International typically tailors 3-5 week trips abroad, which focus on developing the life skills of the participants whilst delivering a sustainable development project. This often involves the construction of sanitation, water, or educational facilities within marginalised communities in developing countries. Raleigh teams live and work withing host communities and it is this direct exposure to global issues which facilitates future generations to become active global citizens.

Bespoke expeditions are designed around your needs and priorities. Raleigh International expeditions can become integral parts of modules, coursework and educational projects. We can also deliver poverty and cultural immersion field visits to give your group the chance to see and learn about international development projects in action.
